Ground loop video isolator, also known as ground loop audio video isolator, is mainly used to eliminate interference to CCTV video (or audio) signals caused by ground loop voltage. Ground loop/ground loop interference is an electronic interference phenomenon mainly caused by the different potential between the two terminals of a video cable. Due to the selection of different video signal reference ground potentials for video cables, the interference caused by AC current circuit mainly occurs in the shielding layer of video cables and the shell of video equipment.
Normally, the voltage of the shielding layer is 0V. When the local circuit/ground loop phenomenon exists, the level will fluctuate around 0V, and more seriously, it will cause serious distortion and tearing of the video signal, accompanied by interference phenomena such as horizontal lines, mesh lines, and snowflakes. When the video signal transmission distance exceeds 100 meters, it is easy to generate high ground loop voltage. If the ground loop voltage is too high, it may even cause the equipment to be burned.
